We gratefully acknowledge the generous support of our principal
sponsor, the Darwin
Airport Resort.
The Airport Resort recently donated $10,000 for a new state-of-the-art
dragonboat for the Club. The new boat is a lightweight fibreglass
racing boat, which is a very welcome addition to the Club's
ageing fleet of aluminium boats. National and international
competitions use the fibreglass-style boat, so being able
to train in one is a real bonus for the Club.
The Airport Resort also assisted the Club's recent assault
on the Australian national championships in Victoria by sponsoring
our uniforms. We brought home a swag of medals in appreciation.
The Airport Resort is 350m from the Darwin International
Airport and is a great place to stay. It offers guests the
unique opportunity of enjoying resort style accommodation
set amongst lush tropical gardens with a variety of accommodation
styles to suit both the holiday maker and business guest alike.
ADPC can highly recommend the Resort's award winning restaurant,
Essence, where we often dine or hold official Club events.
